In the end, the patrol officers managed to stop him but the man, in an altered state, resisted and damaged the patrol car's passenger compartment before being stopped .

This morning, the 44-year-old, represented by attorney Paolo Spano, appeared in court to answer charges of resisting a public official, criminal damage, and refusing to submit to a breathalyzer test. Prosecutor Alessia Sanna requested the use of an electronic bracelet, while Judge Stefania Mosca Angelucci validated the arrest and ordered him to report to the judicial police .
