A few minutes after the arrival of the Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi at the Palazzo Regio, the mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda outlined the main critical issues related to security in the city .
In a brief meeting with journalists, the mayor highlighted two particularly worrying warning signs: child pornography and prostitution, phenomena that, he explained, require immediate attention and coordinated action between institutions and law enforcement. Zedda also addressed other sensitive issues.
Among these is the management of the Monastir migrant center, a facility often at the center of public debate due to its reception conditions and impact on the local area . He then drew attention to the situation in Piazza del Carmine, where the proposal to extend the "red zone" aimed at combating degradation and petty crime continues to generate discussion.
The meeting with Minister Piantedosi, scheduled for 11 a.m. , will be an opportunity—Zedda emphasized—to review all ongoing emergencies and define new intervention strategies to protect citizens' safety.
