Six days ago, the collapse of a wall had led to the immediate closure of Via Fiume in Cagliari. Today, after almost a week, the reopening to traffic took place in the afternoon.

The works to secure the section of the walls, affected by a partial collapse last September 25, have been completed. In addition, the road surface has also been cleaned.

The workers have removed the barriers except those that were placed in Via Dei Genovesi (beyond the curve). These will serve to keep safe the section of the walls where the work still has to be completed. This construction site will not interfere with normal road traffic.

The day after the collapse, the Municipality had started operations to secure the area , which have now been completed.
