Two young men, a 22-year-old of Moroccan origin resident in Capoterra and a 20-year-old of Algerian origin resident in Quartu Sant'Elena , both unemployed and already known to the police, were arrested this morning by the Carabinieri for possession of drugs with the intent to deal.

The officers stopped them while they were riding a scooter along Viale Trieste. During the search, they discovered 15 doses of marijuana weighing approximately 19 grams, as well as approximately one gram of hashish, 7 grams of cocaine, a precision scale, and €1,610 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing.

Subsequent searches of the homes revealed two more precision scales in the possession of the 20-year-old.

The arrested men were taken to the court in Cagliari for a fast-track trial.
