Two collisions with pedestrians, one this morning and one in the early afternoon, in Cagliari , and two people with serious injuries taken to hospital at Brotzu.

The accidents occurred in viale San Bartolomeo, around 10.30 am, and in via Italia a Pirri around 4.45 pm. The findings were carried out by local police officers.

This morning a car (driven by an eighty-year-old) hit a 63-year-old man on a pedestrian crossing. Rescue was immediate: the injured man was taken from 118 to Brotzu with a red code assigned. Doctors kept the prognosis confidential.

The second accident occurred in the afternoon, in Via Italia in the final stretch before Monserrato. An 85-year-old was hit by a car while he was crossing the road. The rescuers accompanied him to the hospital, again at Brotzu: his condition is serious and he too has a guarded prognosis. Cagliari Municipal Police patrols on site.
