Classes outside the Giua institute again today: " We don't feel safe, mice and excrement are there, we've seen them ." The boys and girls of the technical institute on the outskirts of Pirri are not taking any steps back. A few days ago they staged a protest after a mouse was found in a room of the building. Immediately removed by Pro Service, the company appointed by the Metropolitan City for the maintenance of the city schools, which has been closely monitoring the situation since Thursday.

For the students, the structure is not in a position to host lessons : «We are tired of having to attend school in a neglected place left to itself. Our reports are ignored and the answers given to us are insufficient and do not leave us at peace."

Tomorrow the school will be closed due to the electricity cut and the students are considering organizing a sit in in front of the Metropolitan City.

For the principal, Romina Lai, however, it is a strike that has no reason to exist. «We do everything to avoid going to school, we too were young and we understand the desire to enjoy the beautiful days – says Lai -. Today the Pro Service team is carrying out the necessary checks, but no mice or excrement were found, but for everyone's greater peace of mind they decided to close the school for a week and carry out rodent control . What I don't appreciate is the lack of intellectual honesty: the staff is there, the water is drinkable and the structure is not decadent. It is a well-managed school, which has grown over the years and compared to other schools in Cagliari we are going against the trend."

Paolo Pirino, manager of Pro Service, confirms that rodent control is still underway: «Out of excess of zeal we are closing the school for a week, but to date there are no technical-scientific reasons that would have imposed it . It is a phobia, if we can call it that, that has arisen among school staff, children and their families."
