The new pain therapy premises at the Marino hospital in Cagliari were inaugurated this morning in the presence of the President of the Region Christian Solinas. The centre, defined as "of excellence" by the head doctor Tomaso Cocco, will move from the Binaghi hospital and will be able to take care of 2000 patients every year, for a total of 10500 services provided per year.

The manager of the Cagliari Local Health Authority, Marcello Tidore, explains how this is just the beginning: «It is the first step of a much larger project which sees the redevelopment of the entire Marino garrison».

Head doctor Tomaso Cocco, anesthetist, adds: «The objective has always been to alleviate the patient's suffering, with chronic pain, from low back pain to headache, from postherpetic neuralgia to diabetic neuropathy, with particular attention to patients suffering from oncological and neurodegenerative diseases".
