The lawyer Giuseppe Del Rio, for all Peppetto, died at home at the age of 87. His was an intense life: well-known in Cagliari and throughout the island, where he went through numerous legal proceedings, he also made himself known abroad for having managed important businesses and for having been at the top of corporate giants.

Del Rio was perhaps Sardinia's most prominent and most controversial business lawyer. Someone considers him the confidential guardian of corporate secrets and real estate acquisitions (and not only) of the most prominent Cagliari.

He loved ties, tailored shirts, cars, and beautiful women. He trained in the London studio of Charles Forte . For a long time he led the Forte Village of Santa Margherita di Pula.

Lead man of the real estate developer Cabassi, he was the administrator of the giant Bastogi. He owned the Hotel Mediterraneo from its heyday and built Palazzo Doglio, long before it became a hotel.

The negotiation was his strong point, together with the knowledge of the bureaucratic and banking and financial crossroads. He also sailed the skies of Quirra with those in charge of the creation of Eurodisney. Nothing came of it.    His tables at the Scoglio and in the most fashionable places in Emerald Sardinia are famous.
