Everything like before. Having changed the law which imposed a stop to collection for three years, the Municipality of Cagliari reopens the kiosks of the sea urchins in Su Siccu. Times are tight: applications for the management of one of the three concessions must be submitted by noon on 14 December.

The one published on the administration's website is not a tender open to all, which aims to bring sea urchins, Vermentino and crowds back to the pine forest between viale Colombo and the seafront, next to via Caboto. The main requirement for anyone aspiring to conquer one of the spaces is a professional fisherman's license. Then the applications of those who have managed those activities in the past will be evaluated and only as a last resort will the applications of non-experts be considered.

The monthly fee to be paid will be 1,240 euros: two installments must be paid immediately, as a deposit.

The kiosks will be 30 square meters large: 14 indoors and 16 outdoors. In addition, the Municipality announces that the administration is ready to "install light air-flow roofing".

Everything is ready? Not yet. So much so that Palazzo Bacaredda sets conditions. The concessions will be valid only when the law that unblocked the collection is in force: approved a week ago, after the protest of the fishermen under the regional council, it has not yet been published in the Buras (the law is contained in the complex Omnibus 2), i.e. the Official Gazette of the Region.

Furthermore, in the event of a delay in setting up the municipal structures, no one will be able to protest. The announcement establishes it. The sea urchins return to Su Siccu, then. The service, if it starts, will be guaranteed until April 2023.
