Cagliari, the former Mereu school at risk of illegal occupation

The former Mereu school in Cagliari is at risk of illegal occupations. The alarm was raised by municipal councilor Marcello Polastri who alerted the Municipal Police to ensure that the municipal construction site is "appropriately closed, with the utmost urgency and made safe".

An urgent question will be presented on the building in via Badas, the subject of a redevelopment intervention, in the next few days to better understand when the restoration work will be completed and to find out when this very important patrimonial resource will be returned to the city to be occupied with services useful to the community, and not give in to attempts at abusive occupations which have devastated it in the past."

Polastri reports that a gap has been opened in the fence which "allows criminals to access and reach the inside of the construction site area, the municipal building and its courtyards".
