The case of medical records breaks out in the hospitals of the ASL of Cagliari . They cannot be delivered to patients who request them and in the offices open to the public, after many, too many postponements without explanation, tension has begun to rise.

«This morning an employee of the Santissima Trinità was attacked, and a physical confrontation came close: a citizen who needs a file did not see his request satisfied, after weeks of waiting, and went into a rage. An embarrassing situation: it is the users and also the innocent staff who pay the price»: the complaint comes from the provincial secretary of Fials of Cagliari, Paolo Cugliara.

The stalemate, according to what the trade unionist learned, would derive from the difficulties in which the company that was entrusted with the copying and binding of medical records would have found itself . The originals arrive from the departments in the offices, but only one copy can be given to applicants, which no one makes anymore.

«Let's think of a patient who needs his health documents for an operation or a consultation outside the region», speculates Cugliara. «well, in the hospital they can't deliver anything to him because the management of the contract is blocked. A further problem, as far as we know», adds the trade unionist, «is that the difficult situation, which is experienced in all the hospitals of the ASL, has been communicated to the top management for some time but nothing has moved». While the climate, between users and staff, is becoming increasingly exaggerated.
