The two men arrested during the night in Cagliari by the Radiomobile police are under investigation for aggravated theft and receiving stolen goods.

The intervention of the military had been requested, with a call to the single number 112, by a 19-year-old who explained that his mobile phone had been stolen by two men, probably foreigners. After receiving their descriptions, the carabinieri identified them on the corner of via Malta and via Sassari. They were a 34-year-old Algerian resident in Quartu and a 39-year-old Moroccan domiciled in Iglesias. The first, upon seeing the uniforms, tried to hide a mobile phone under a parked car. Once recovered, it turned out to be the one stolen from the 19-year-old.

Furthermore, subjected to a search, the Algerian was in possession of two ATMs and another person's identity document, a circumstance for which he did not provide justification.

The two men have been arrested and will appear in court today for the immediate trial.
