Residents of the Marina neighborhood in Cagliari take to the streets. The scenes of violence that bloodied the neighborhood in the space of a few hours were too many and too serious.

The first on Friday evening: a 25-year-old Tunisian was stabbed in the throat by a group of Algerians, near Piazza Sant'Eulalia, during an attempted robbery of a telephone. This, at least, is the official motivation. An eighteen-year-old was arrested for that incident. The compatriots of the attacked also sparked moments of tension at the Santissima Trinità hospital, where he was admitted.

Last night the revenge: an Algerian was hit by several stab wounds under the chin and in the back while he was between Via Napoli and Via Sicilia. A few minutes later a compatriot was reached in Piazza Matteotti, perhaps by the same group that had acted shortly before (apparently Tunisians) and was injured by a blow to the hand, perhaps in an attempt to block the blow.

in his escape, his blood stained the station floor red in numerous places. And this morning, amid general indifference, those spots were still there. Like a handkerchief, perhaps used to dab the wound, first soaked and then stiffened with dry red. Nobody cleaned it, nobody took it away.

A sit-in has been called for midday in Piazza Sant'Eulalia, "given the critical and dangerous situation we are experiencing in recent days", announces Sandra Orrù, spokesperson for the "Let's open the windows to the Marina" committee.
