The Carabinieri Health Protection Command (NAS) continues its checks, in agreement with the Ministry of Health , on typical Easter products and with particular reference to confectionery products , in order to protect the health of citizens and entrepreneurs who can suffer unfair competition from those who operate illegally.

Violations emerged relating to the lack of cleanliness and hygiene of the processing and storage environments , the failure to apply preventive food safety procedures , the failure to trace products and irregular labelling.

Over 840 inspections were carried out nationally in production laboratories and sales outlets, with irregularities found in 324 facilities. 574 criminal and administrative violations were contested, for a total of 425 thousand euros, and the seizure of a total of 2 tons of food, with an estimated value of over 267 thousand euros.

The NAS of Cagliari , with checks carried out in the provinces of Cagliari and Oristano, ascertained 35 irregularities out of 110 controlled commercial activities , (equal to 32%), with the contestation of administrative sanctions amounting to 10,000 euros and the seizure of approximately 30 kilograms of bakery products.
