A gesture of solidarity and remembrance united the police and the young patients of the Microcitemico hospital in Cagliari.
Officers from the Flying Squad visited the children hospitalized in the ward, in memory of Giancarlo De Angelis, Assistant Chief of Police, who passed away prematurely in December 2021 due to a serious illness.
The initiative took place in the presence of his wife Katia and the police director, Massimo Imbimbo, and was born in the spirit of solidarity that has always distinguished Giancarlo De Angelis.
During the Christmas holidays, in fact, the assistant chief used to promote and support charitable initiatives aimed at those most in need.
During the visit, the officers distributed gifts to the young patients, thus also bringing moments of joy and peace to their families. The collaboration of the hospital's medical and healthcare staff, particularly Professor Salvatore Savasta, was crucial to the success of the initiative.
