Cagliari, plastic and butts in the Su Siccu pine forest: they clean the prisoners

The inmates of the Uta prison will clean the Bonaria pine forest on the Cagliari seafront. The Sardinian capital is one of the five cities that will be the scene of the new appointment against environmental degradation organized by "Seconda Chance", a third sector association that acts as a bridge between penitentiaries and companies to create opportunities for reintegration, and Plastic Free, a non-profit organization committed by the 2019 in tackling plastic pollution.
The protagonists will be the inmates from the prisons of Genoa, Reggio Emilia, Florence, Secondigliano and, precisely, Cagliari: they will be employed during the morning of Sunday 25 June in the reclamation operations of the areas considered degraded. With them, the many volunteers of the environmental association who will guide them in the collection of plastic, waste and cigarette butts.
After the success of last May , prisoners armed with gloves, brooms, a desire to share and a lot of enthusiasm will be active at the terminus of the Righi funicular in Genoa (10 am), in Piazzale Europa in Reggio Emilia (9:30 am), at the Circolo La Rondinella in Florence (9 am), at the Oasi dei Variconi in Castel Volturno (Caserta, 9:30 am) and, finally, at the Pineta Su Siccu, in front of Bonaria, in Cagliari (meeting at 8:30 am).
