There were 26 patients in the yellow code visiting (or waiting) in the emergency room of the Santissima Trinità in Cagliari in the early afternoon, and they continued to increase to 30.

The external square is invaded by ambulances: around 4pm there were 13 crews blocked outside the Is Mirrionis hospital. Here it seems that the assistance mechanism has jammed, while inside the staff is doing what they can to deal with the emergency. But according to what transpires, there are only two doctors on duty (there should be at least three), the Obi (Intensive Short Observation) area is undergoing a modernization project, so there are only three medical clinics available. And the CT scan is still out of use: internal transfer to the Radiology department is necessary for the tests.

The system risks collapse every day, with workloads that increase the likelihood of human error.

From the Santissima Trinità the inconveniences also have repercussions on the other hospitals. Brotzu's computer systems detect the presence of 27 patients with yellow code and one red. While at the Polyclinic, at least for the afternoon, the numbers are slightly lower.
