Cagliari, NAS blitz in a club: thousands of tobacco products seized

A flurry of checks by the Carabinieri in public establishments that serve tobacco products, with particular attention to places where hookah is used.
The military personnel of the NAS of Cagliari , together with the personnel of the Customs and Monopolies Agency , carried out an inspection at a premises, located in Stampace, managed by a 40-year-old resident of the capital.
During the inspection, the presence of a large quantity of smoking accessories – rolling papers and filters – on sale in the store emerged without the necessary license required by current legislation.
In particular, 8,379 cigarette papers and 7,529 smoking filters were found inside the counter and the warehouse of the premises, for a total commercial value of approximately 1,000 euros, which were immediately subjected to administrative seizure.
Furthermore, some of the goods were not included in the approved marketing tables published on the official website of the Customs and Monopolies Agency. The Monopolies Office for Sardinia was therefore notified and the establishment now risks an administrative fine of between 3,000 and 30,000 euros.
