Claudio Gulisano, 44, has been indicted for the murder of his parents, his father, Luigi, 79, and his mother, Marisa Dessì, 82, killed on December 4th last year in their apartment on Via Ghibli, in the Sole district of Cagliari.

The trial is scheduled to begin on March 4th at the Assize Court.

According to the reconstruction of the Prosecutor's Office, supported by Public Prosecutor Rosanna Allieri, Gulisano is responsible for the crime committed for financial reasons.

According to experts Rita Celli (a forensic doctor at the University of Turin) and Claudio Medana (a toxicologist at the same university), the suspect first suffocated his mother with the scarf she was wearing around her neck, then waited several hours for his father to return, who had gone out for his usual morning walk.

At that point he would have killed him too through so-called "soft asphyxiation", by pressing his face on the armrest of the chair or using a pillow.

The forty-four-year-old is also accused of computer fraud: he allegedly withdrew 20,000 euros from his parents' accounts using their home banking platform.

Gulisano is defended by the lawyer Luigi Sanna.
