“No means no”. After many words spent, it is time for action to combat gender violence. Today in Constitution Square in Cagliari, men and women, young and old of all ages gathered to say "no more violence against women", to keep the attention high on a phenomenon that "can no longer be considered an emergency, but it's system. It is the patriarchal system that has normalized violence, making it structural."

They do not call for "gallows or gallows", but ask for "structural changes". To surround the demonstration organized in the city by the "Non una di meno" association, many purple banners: "If they touch one, they touch all". “Enough violence on our bodies”. And again “He cannot patriarchate forever”. “If we wait for the institutions, we'll be fine. The safe city is made by the transfeminist community. Today we must do prevention: there is not just one bad apple, but it is a problem that concerns us all", say the activists of the association, to the tune of the song "Not all men".

The names of all the women killed in 2023 were written on a white cloth, hanging on the steps of the Bastione: the first in January was Giulia Donato, 23, killed with a gunshot by Andrea Incorvaia, her boyfriend. The latest, Marisa Leo, 39 year old mother of a 4 year old girl, killed on Thursday by her ex-partner and father of her daughter, Angelo Reina, who then took his own life.
