An " institutional collaboration " that aims to ensure protection and support for vulnerable people, no one should be left alone". These are the words of the mayor of Cagliari Massimo Zedda , who today signed the memorandum of understanding between the ordinary Court, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Municipality . The agreement is aimed at the continuation and operation of the Office of Public Protection for people in fragile situations.

The pact was initially signed in 2014 and subsequently renewed in 2023. Today the new renewal was signed, in the presence of the mayor of Cagliari, the president of the ordinary court, Vincenzo Amato, the public prosecutor, Rodolfo Maria Sabelli, and the councilor for social policies of the Municipality, Anna Puddu.

The document represents "an important element of coordination and strengthening of protection interventions for the most vulnerable subjects, guaranteeing legal and social protection with immediacy and shared planning". The Office of Public Protection is located in the Ordinary Court of Cagliari and uses qualified personnel from the Social Policies service of the Municipality.
