The summer begins with inconveniences for those traveling by plane to and from Cagliari airport. On Saturday evening there were heavy delays on all connections, just as the Mario Mameli enters the height of the tourist season.

The Ryanair from Budapest was expected at 7.40pm, it only touched down after 9pm. The delay accumulated by the Ita flight arriving from Fiumicino was one hour, as was the case for the Ryanair departing from London. The Irish company's connection from Gothenburg was also delayed, as it was supposed to be in Cagliari by 8.40pm. The Ryanair landing from Bergamo was also postponed, as was the Neos from Verona, delayed by about an hour.

With a domino effect, departing passengers who were supposed to use those aircraft to reach the last destinations of the evening were also waiting .

For his part, Sogaer says that the delays are due to bad weather in Northern Italy and a radar problem in central Italy and therefore not due to disruptions in the Cagliari airport.
