If it weren't a drama for the citizens of Cagliari, one could think of a joke. But this story is true. The underground construction site in Piazza Repubblica (as in Via Dante and Piazza Maria Teresa in Calcutta) is blocked, deserted : the workers have not seen each other for about ten days (since before Easter, to be exact).

The people of Cagliari who for three months, that is, since the work on the metro began in Piazza Repubblica, have gone mad forced into a gymkhana between red nets, narrow lanes, and unnerving queues (especially) during peak hours , put their soul in peace: for the next few weeks the inconvenience will continue but no one will be seen at the construction site in Piazza Repubblica.

Blame the bureaucracy that "forced" the subcontractor company of the Integra Cmsa consortium that leads the works for Arst to temporarily lay off the workers .

Everything revolves around the additional charges that the Region has made available to Arst to compensate for the higher costs for the company that carries out the work due to the increase in raw materials. Just over five million euros , yes already approved but not yet arrived in the coffers of the regional transport company (and therefore, consequently, in those of the company).
