The cold and the wait do not scare the Sardinian farmers and shepherds who spent the fourth night in front of the port of Cagliari . While their colleagues head towards Rome, the mobilization against the agricultural policies of the European Union on the island "continues to the bitter end" , as the protesters themselves explain.

Or at least until the national coordination decides otherwise. Also, last night, a tractor parade through the streets of the center of Cagliari : a way to also remind the city of the ongoing battle for the future of the countryside. The vehicles, from via Riva di Ponente, crossed the city, including one of the main shopping streets such as via Alghero, and then returned back to their "headquarters". A march already tested two days ago, which - temporarily - blocked traffic, causing queues and inconvenience for passing motorists.

In the meantime, the protest front is becoming more and more compact and decisive , with many other shepherds and farmers saying they are ready to join their colleagues to start new mobilisations. The garrison at the port of Cagliari, from the entrance on Via Riva di Ponente, continues to cause inconvenience especially for hauliers, with long queues on the Scafa bridge.
