Stefano Mameli, 49, general director of Cacip , the Provincial Industrial Consortium of Cagliari, has died. He passed away after battling a long illness.
Mameli had a degree in Political Science and had dedicated his entire career to the issues of local development, training and territorial planning. From an expert in cooperation projects with Laore, to leading training and special projects for Confartigianato Imprese Sardegna, to holding top positions first in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and then in Cacip, Mameli has always combined technical vision and civic commitment .
His CV testifies to a long experience in consulting for public and private entities , in participatory planning, in the management of European funds and in the facilitation of territorial processes. From 1 August 2019 he had taken on the role of general director of the Metropolitan City, before moving on to the operational leadership of Cacip . The news of his death took colleagues, friends and many people who had known him in his long professional career by surprise, arousing emotion and condolences.
The funeral chapel is open today until 6 pm and tomorrow until 12 pm at the Decimomannu Nursing Home.
