He saw a petty thief in action, confronted him and after being punched knocked him out, blocking him until the police arrived . A porter was the protagonist of what happened last night in via Alghero in Cagliari .

A 60-year-old with several precedents is in handcuffs: he is accused of attempted aggravated robbery and in this morning's express trial he negotiated a sentence of one year and ten months with probation.

The man, as reconstructed by the police officers, snuck into a building in via Alghero reaching the concierge to grab something but was surprised by the porter: to escape he hit him with a fist but in turn he was knocked down and blocked until the cops arrive.

The two then ended up in the hospital for the injuries sustained in the scuffle: they will get away with ten days of treatment.
