The concession of public land to the Ninnos and Florio venues in Piazza San Domenico has been revoked: they will not be able to place outdoor tables for 18 months . The Municipality's measure was taken because the two premises, within two years, received as many administrative sanctions (punished with days of suspension of the concession due to violations of the regulation). The owners of the businesses had appealed against the first sanction to the Sardinia Regional Administrative Court, winning the first round and obtaining the freezing of the suspension of the concession for outdoor tables. But then they lost on the merits against the Municipality of Cagliari which, while awaiting the decision, had also suspended the second provision resulting from an inspection by the traffic police.

At the beginning of May, local police officers had contested the fact that the music emitted from the speakers inside the premises could also be heard in the square because the door "was constantly kept open" . An illegitimate entertainment according to agents and the Municipality's Productive Activities office. The two sanctions arrived within 24 months - as required by the regulation - have now triggered the revocation of the use concession for public land which cannot be requested for 18 months .

Against this provision, but also against the two individual administrative decisions linked to the removal of the tables, both Florio and Ninnos could have asked for the conversion of the fine, paying a sum of around 25 thousand euros . A choice that had been made by other venues so as not to lose the possibility of placing outdoor tables for a long time.
