For now there is the complaint on social media, but in a few days the official one will arrive to the police for attempted extortion and defamation. William Congera, owner of the pizzeria Su Stampu del Corso in Cagliari, and his lawyer Diego Mastromarino, tell what happened in recent days: a customer called the pizzeria saying he had found a cockroach in the pizza that had been delivered to his home.
After having obtained the reimbursement of the cost of the food without any problem, he went further by asking, in person, for a thousand euros in cash to close it without further consequences.
It all happened during a meeting between Congera and the young client. "He wanted to meet me, telling me about the trauma he suffered from seeing the insect and that he wanted a thousand euros to end it without problems," explains Congera. " I recorded the conversation. Then he continued for days with the request for money. Through the lawyer Mastromarino, we sent him a warning. And a video emerged with a pizza, partly already eaten, an insect and defamatory writings aimed at the pizzeria Su Stampu."
At this point the matter will end up in the Prosecutor's Office. "We have collected almost all the elements to file a complaint for attempted extortion and, after the published video, also for defamation," adds the lawyer.
