One hundred years. Not of chatter, but of real life. The one that has the taste of coffee taken in via Roma, of the sound of footsteps in the Marina, of the fatigue and strength of those who have never backed down. Yesterday Cagliari paid homage to Dolores Pani, born on April 6, 1925 in Stampace, daughter of the neighborhood barber, mother of seven children, widowed at 36.
A life lived in one breath, with the weight of responsibility and the dignity of someone who asks for nothing, but gives everything . Celebrating her, in addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was also the president of the city council Marco Benucci, who gave her a medal and a parchment on behalf of the city.
"Dolores is a living memory - said Benucci - a witness to the change and character of Casteddaio. It is an honor to be able to pay homage to her on behalf of all the citizens".
