Firefighters responded twice in Cagliari to two fires that broke out overnight.

The first call was made around 10:40 PM on Via Castelli regarding a parked car fire. A rapid response team from the Cagliari Police Command operations center responded to the scene: the flames were extinguished, the area was secured, and the fire prevented from spreading to other parked vehicles. The flames from the vehicle caused minor damage to the façade of an adjacent building .

The second firefighters responded shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Via Monferrato, near the San Michele cemetery . A van and some household goods were on fire.
A rapid response team from the Cagliari Command operations center responded to the scene to extinguish the fire and secure the area, but no one was injured.

The fire brigade has begun investigations to establish the probable causes of the fire.
