In recent years the big party at the Bastione di Cagliari , between music and fun in the open air. But this year the Castello Village Festival on May 1st won't be there. Or at least it will have to change location, given that the area that hosted it also in 2022 was declared " not suitable to host the event ".

The organizers of the event, now in its fourth edition, let it be known through a controversial post on the Facebook page. A decision, that of the municipal administration, judged somewhat inconsistent by the children of Castello Village: in fact, the motivation, they say, comes «although the Festival has always been held in the same way , on the most beautiful square in Cagliari, now abandoned to herself".

The post talks about weeks of mediation and attempts, which however did not lead to the expected result: «The purpose of the project», they explain, «was the ambition to make our city even more unforgettable, both for citizens and for tourists. The desire to create a festival that could embrace all ages and give work to many people ».

At the end of the post, there is no lack of a jab at whoever made the decision: «An administration with a self-styled tourist and hospitality vocation», we read, «which slams the door in the face of a common good, of young people, citizens, city itself ".
