The pregnancy was going well. Then the baby decided to suddenly give birth while her mother was staying at a hotel in Cagliari's Poetto beach, the Nautilus.

And here an ambulance from 118 intervened: the operators, given the progress of the dilation, did not have time to transfer the girl, a 22-year-old Brazilian resident in the Cagliari area together with her partner, a 23-year-old Sardinian, to the hospital.

And little Julia, after moments of great excitement, was born in the accommodation where her parents were staying precisely because they were close to the Polyclinic, where her pregnancy had been monitored. Only after the birth, given the happy outcome of the event, were rescuers able to take mother and daughter to Monserrato.

The patient expelled the placenta at the Policlinico and is now in good health, as is her baby, who weighs 2,680 kg. Upon arrival at the Duilio Casula Hospital, she was cared for by midwife Claudia Meloni and gynecologist Kostantinos Martsidi.
