Cagliari: A pedestrian was hit on the sidewalk by an out-of-control car.

He lost control of the car, crashed into a pole, and hit a pedestrian on the sidewalk. He then drove away.

This is the first reconstruction of the accident that occurred this morning in Via della Pineta, Cagliari, in front of the church of San Pio X.

The driver of the vehicle—a Panda, according to some witnesses—did not stop to provide assistance, leaving behind the injured man and some pieces of the car that broke off after the impact.

The pedestrian fell and sustained serious injuries, but fortunately his life is not in danger: he was first treated by a basic ambulance, then transported to Brotzu aboard a 118 Mike.

The exact reconstruction of what happened will be reported in a report by the local police officers who intervened to carry out the investigation.
