Cagliari, a Ctm bus catches fire: fear in viale Buoncammino
Smoke started coming out of the engine compartment, luckily the driver was able to stop the vehicle and get everyone out. The fire was caused by an electrical problem
Fear this afternoon in viale Buoncammino in Cagliari due to the fire of a bus.
The Ctm vehicle, with several passengers on board, was in transit when smoke started coming out of the engine compartment.
Fortunately the driver realized what was happening in time and was quick to stop the bus and let everyone off before the flames could spread to the entire bus.
The operations room of the fire brigade command, alerted by the same driver, sent the "4A" emergency team of the citizen detachment based in the port of Cagliari to the site: the operators with a fire engine extinguished the flames and vehicle and road safety, temporarily closed to traffic until the end of operations.
According to the initial investigations by the Fire Brigade, the fire was caused by an electrical problem in the engine system . The State Police are also on site.
