A mystery clarified, even if only in part. The military of the Cagliari-Sant'Avendrace Carabinieri Station reported a 41-year-old man, resident in Cagliari, who, while driving his car - a Volkswagen Touareg - accidentally hit an 8-year-old child.
The little boy had been rushed (with red code) to the Santissima Trinità hospital by his father, who initially – and here the “mystery” began – had said that his little son had been hit by an unidentified vehicle .
Then, the child was transferred to Brotzu – where he remains hospitalized with various traumas but his life is not in danger – the Carabinieri also intervened and started the investigations. And in the end the man overcame his reticence, telling the exact dynamics of the accident and indicating the 41-year-old as the person responsible. The latter, too, after the accident, had arrived with father and son in the emergency room.
Therefore, in addition to the seizure of the vehicle, he was reported to the judicial authorities. The Prosecutor's Office is now evaluating all the positions of the people involved, while the military of the Cagliari-Sant'Avendrace Station continue their investigations to clarify the contours of the situation.
