A 34-year-old man, resident in Cagliari, was arrested and transferred to prison after being issued a precautionary custody order by the Cagliari Court – Preliminary Investigations Division.

The arrest was carried out yesterday evening by the Stampace Carabinieri.

The measure stems from a complaint filed in early December by a cohabiting family member, who had reported a situation of serious domestic distress.

According to what emerged in the preliminary phase of the investigation , the victim was subjected to repeated harassment, including insults, threats and even physical aggression, to the point of forcing her to abandon her home and seek refuge with acquaintances.

Following the complaint, the procedure provided for by the so-called “Red Code” was immediately activated , with the timely initiation of investigations by the Carabinieri.

The investigations conducted by the military allowed them to reconstruct a circumstantial framework deemed sufficiently serious by the Judicial Authority, which ordered the precautionary prison measure.
