The check carried out two nights ago in via Is Mirrionis in Cagliari ended with an arrest. The Volante officers stopped a scooter with two people on board. The passenger, who immediately showed signs of nervousness and agitation, suddenly fled on foot, throwing a sock away from him.

The police chased him through the streets of the area and managed to stop him. In the pouch he was wearing they found 110 euros in cash, while in the sock - recovered shortly after - there were several sachets of marijuana and hashish.

The agents extended the control to the 25-year-old's home in Monserrato, where they seized, hidden in the furniture of the house, a small quantity of hashish and marijuana, a precision scale, drug packaging material and 2,250 euros in cash, believed proceeds from drug dealing activities.

The arrest was validated by the investigating judge who ordered the obligation to reside in the municipality of Monserrato.
