At a time when the guarantee of absolute respect for the environment is indicated as one of the conditio sine qua non for the hypothetical start of the lithium project (aka black mass), here comes a new warning from the Province on the subject of the environment being put at risk.

Portovesme srl, which disposes of steelworks fume waste in the landfill that extends between the territories of Carbonia and Iglesias, has been given thirty days to "present a project to adapt the first rain water treatment plant that is consistent with the provisions of the 2008 regional waste directive".
