Amsicora is no longer behind bars. Now he has a new family , between walks in the park and lots of cuddles.

She is the first dog adopted as part of the "Baibau" project promoted by the Cabras municipal councilorship for culture led by Carlo Trincas, in collaboration with the Effetto Palla Onlus and Hachiko 4-legged Heroes Onlus associations.

The objectives are different: to encourage adoptions, thus giving a new life to four-legged friends who have been locked up in a kennel for too long but also to save important resources.

Amsicora had been assisted by the dog educator for the character assessment.

"Now, after vaccination and sterilization - the Municipality announces in a note - her new owner Silvia has a package of five lessons available aimed at entering the house and setting the first fundamental rules ".

The hope now is that all the other dogs present in the Silì kennel, the one that has an agreement with the Municipality of Cabras, will also be adopted as soon as possible.

As recalled by the Municipality led by the mayor Andrea Abis, in the field to encourage adoptions thanks also to the support of the Oristano local health authority, the local police and many volunteers, on the initiative website it is possible to get to know virtually all the animals waiting to start a new life . Each animal is presented with four photos and a description of its attitudes. In all, there are about fifty of them. Anyone wishing to adopt one of the dogs can call the local Police Department.

As explained during the presentation of the project last March, Monica Pais, veterinarian and president of the Onlus Effetto Palla, «the objective of the project is to work by placing the animal at the center of attention , so that we take care of its individuality in all respects, in an integrated logic that also provides for the analysis of the state of health and of the various procedures that precede the adoption, in order to guarantee a successful outcome". "The kennel - the expert had declared again - is an absolute place of punishment".
