The electricity is back on, but the machines for packaging aubergines, artichokes, peppers and much more have not yet been turned back on. In Sa Marigosa, a few days after the devastating fire that damaged almost the entire company that produces and markets vegetables and fruit, on the border between Riola and Cabras on the road that leads to Mari Ermi, we are trying to start again. «We are working to test the machinery again in order to allow our employees to work in total safety - explains Paolo Mele, one of the partners of the important production company in the Oristano area - In a few days we will be at work again with what we have put back in sixth."

We will start with the selling and packaging of the fresh produce in specially set up rooms. «Given the availability of various financial institutions - continues Mele - we will try to understand how they can help us and when. Unfortunately they still don't have a precise estimate of the damage, the cleanup that a specialized company is carrying out is not complete."

Due to the fire, probably caused by a short circuit from a van in the agricultural area, the company lost many agricultural products. Many machines and various areas of the structure were also damaged. Meanwhile, we are also looking to the future. For the first time Sa Marigosa grew garlic. This was made known by an employee of the company who wanted to leave a distant message on social media: «Unfortunately this event has affected me deeply and seeing the company destroyed and my owners and colleagues desperate was terrible - wrote Giovanni Sanna - But I want to be optimistic and I'm sure we will recover as we have done in the past. This year the company decided to diversify production and we grew garlic for the first time, with the integrated method, following environmental sustainability. Therefore in about 10 days we will be able to offer garlic with an intense aroma and a unique taste. By purchasing our product you will also give us a big hand to rise again and come back stronger than before. Thank you all in advance."
