Pedro comes from Brazil, Juan from Mexico while Laura is Slovakian. But there is also Nora from Canada and Hana who comes from Japan. With them then Joachin, Margarida and Annabella, respectively from Argentina, Portugal and Hungary. A mix of cultures along the coast of Sinis . For the second consecutive year the project "Exchange Week" stops in Cabras through the Intercultura association, which promotes dialogue and international school exchanges. Every year more than 2 thousand students from Italian high schools spend a period of study abroad and over 800 kids from all over the world are welcomed in our country.

During their stay in Italy, the hosted kids have the opportunity to get to know other Italian regions. This year they chose to get to know Sardinia: some kids were therefore hosted by families in the area who gave their availability to welcome them.

In Cabras, the 8 boys and girls visited Sinis and contributed to its protection through an ecological day . Accompanied by the operators of the Marine Protected Area, the young people visited the sea turtles that are currently in the recovery center and learned about a reality that takes care of restoring the health of specimens in difficulty before returning them to their marine habitat. Sensitized to the issue of microplastics, the students then contributed to the cleaning of an area of the beach on the coast of San Giovanni di Sinis.

"This is an important experience for our young people - explains Monica Mastino, project manager for the Oristano schools - For the second consecutive year we have collaborated with the Sinis MPA to offer participants the knowledge of the representative places of our territory from an artistic, landscape and naturalistic point of view, so that their cultural heritage can grow. Following the tour, all the kids have shown that they want to stop in Sardinia again before leaving for their country of origin".
