A limited-capacity Christmas play. Yes for parents, but no for grandparents, aunts, uncles, and all other relatives. In Cabras, there's discontent ahead of the traditional Christmas play for preschool children, scheduled for Monday, December 22nd at 10:00 a.m. The program calls for the play to be held in the school building and not at the much larger multipurpose center on Via Tharros, which has traditionally hosted plays, concerts, and much more.

Opposition Councilor Antonello Manna raised the issue: "The traditional play, which has always been held at the multipurpose center, will be held inside the school this year. This decision is creating considerable inconvenience for children and their families. Due to obvious space limitations, only parents will be able to attend, excluding grandparents, aunts and uncles, and other family members who have always participated in this important moment of celebration and sharing. This situation," Manca continues, " appears to be the result of friction between the municipal administration and the school management , as Manca emphasizes, who believes it is unacceptable that institutional conflicts should impact children , depriving them of a symbolic and meaningful event like the Christmas play."

"Christmas should be a time of unity, collaboration, and care for the little ones. For this reason, I hope we can quickly overcome any divisions and find a solution that puts the best interests of children and families first, restoring serenity to a much-anticipated event for the community." A mother chimes in: "Between the children and the teachers, it's clear that only the parents can be inside. It's a real shame. It's chaotic. What a disappointment. The multipurpose center would have been an optimal solution, also for safety reasons, given the flu that's circulating. On Monday, we'll all be very close."
Cabras Mayor Andrea Abis said: "I just learned of this situation. The school hasn't asked me for any assistance. I'll speak to the principal now."
