Burcei's new mayor, Marcello Malloru, officially appointed the municipal council following the vote on June 7th and 8th.

The councilors are Jonata Mucelli, Deputy Mayor and Councilor for the Environment, Rural Roads, Small Maintenance, and Culture; Tiziana Asuni, for Social Services and Public Education; Sara Perra, for Sport and Public Health; and Ivan Lobina, for Tourism.

Wednesday's council meeting will also include the swearing-in of the new Mayor and the proclamation of the elected officials. Additional responsibilities will be assigned to councilors during the meeting.

Davide Quarto will be responsible for Events and Associations, Davide Mucelli for Productive Activities, Stefano Lecca for Youth Policies, and Sandro Melis for Agriculture. The Mayor's assistants will also be announced: Daniele Zuncheddu for Communications and Traffic, Nicola Marcia for Energy Services, Traditions, and the Sardinian Language, Sofia Zuncheddu for Social Services and Healthcare, Matteo Monni for Maintenance Services, and Ugo Maccioni for Urban Decor.

For the new mayor, Marcello Malloru, this is "a young and competent team, with a great desire to get things done." The immediate priority? "The installation of a repeater on the SP 21 to ensure the ability to call for help in case of emergency. After the near-tragedies of recent days, we can't take any more risks."
