Good news for motorists: exactly two weeks after the closure, the new Ponte Tirso reopens.
The restoration of traffic is scheduled for late afternoon today, July 29th. The workers of the specialized company, responsible for replacing some damaged expansion joints, had already completed the work a few days ago, but it was necessary to wait for the concrete to consolidate.
Yesterday, meanwhile, another hard day for those who drove to reach the seaside resorts: in the morning, thanks to an accident along the provincial road that leads to the beaches of San Giovanni di Sinis and Is Arutas, a moon tail already starting from viale Repubblica.
From tomorrow morning, with the reopening of the viaduct leaving Oristano, traffic should return to normal.
