Just over 24 hours after the presentation of the lists for the municipal elections of 8 and 9 June, the sensational news of Guglielmo Macchiavello's resignation as municipal councilor and city secretary of Guglielmo Macchiavello's Sardinian Action Party breaks into the Bosan political scene .

He will not even be a candidate on the list headed by regional councilor Alfonso Marras, designated for the position of mayor.

Macchiavello put everything in black and white with a letter addressed to the national secretary of the PSd'az Christian Solinas, to the members of the Bosa Section board and to the regional councilor Alfonso Marras himself.

«Returning home after a whole series of meetings linked to the formation of the lists for the next municipal elections – writes Macchiavello – I tried to reorganize my ideas on what has happened to date and I now have a deep-rooted conviction. Despite the most enthusiastic declarations on the importance of the proposals developed for the city, despite the great expenditure of energy made in the last electoral campaign in favor of the PSd'Az and the candidate Marras, there clearly exists a "Macchiavello problem" still attributable to no particular reasoning , but it still exists and is risking influencing the image of the PSd'Az at least in reference to our section in which I am a member and secretary. I have no intention of dragging the party into situations that could lead to the impoverishment of the results achieved."

From this moment on, consider my resignation as party secretary to be mandatory", he adds, "to which I will remain, however linked for all the opportunities you wish to create to discuss the good and the prospects of this city. Similarly, considering that my presence in the majority in the Municipality of Bosa was justified by the need to contribute to the Council with the highest office of the section, I hand in my resignation to the Mayor Casula".
