Due to the quality of the products offered to shoppers, the historic and popular weekly market "Sa Fiera" is considered an important meeting point for everyone. This is why the seizure of a large quantity of untraceable cured meats, cheeses, and olives in Bosa caused considerable surprise. The operation was carried out by the veterinary service of the Oristano Local Health Authority (ASL 5), following a report from the local police, following targeted checks.

After hours of checks and analyses, the food items were seized and will be destroyed at an authorized facility, while the responsible operator will be reported to the judicial authorities . Checks will continue at future market events to protect public health, according to local police led by Commander Giampiero Farinelli.

Concern remains high, especially in light of recent cases of botulism reported in the Cagliari area.
