«This morning I was attacked in the city center , in Bonorva, for reasons related to my function as Mayor . It is not the first time that my collaborators and I have been subjected to the discomfort of this person , as well as many other citizens of Bonorva. I wrote to anyone reporting the danger of this individual. I wrote to the Prefect. I wrote to the prosecutor. We have filed many complaints in the barracks. Nothing, nobody has done anything and nobody is doing anything. Now I'm really tired. Now I 've reached the limit ».

Thus begins the outburst published by the mayor of Bonorva, Massimo D'Agostino , who adds: «I can't keep getting slapped and turning the other cheek but, at the limit, I could manage, but I can no longer allow my collaborators and my citizens are placed in conditions of risk and must live in terror by changing the quality of their lives. Someone will have to do something otherwise the irreparable will happen. It's already written."

«In Bonorva people live in terror waiting for the periodic and inevitable "crashing" of this person and several have already been attacked , but we cannot continue like this - concludes the mayor -. We live in a country where elements of this danger can easily circulate and terrorize anyone and, indeed, are protected in the event that a citizen reacts but, if someone does not do something, it is clear that this story will have unpredictable consequences. One person cannot terrorize an entire country . I really can't take it anymore."

The messages of solidarity are starting to arrive: «This morning the mayor of Bonorva Massimo D'Agostino was attacked in his town in relation to his function. If you read the post, it can be seen that the danger of the person who attacked him has been repeatedly reported to all the competent authorities - underlines the president of Anci Sardegna, Emiliano Deiana -. I think it is the case, before something more serious happens, that those who can intervene promptly and effectively. It is not possible to carry out a function such as that of mayor (and municipal employee) without the necessary guarantees of safety and protection ».

Other messages of closeness to the mayor and his administration also came from other mayors and ordinary people.
