The arrest of the alleged murderer of 80-year-old Nicola Pasquarella, from Ittira found dead yesterday in Piandanna, has been ordered.

It is ALF, a 48-year-old from Sassari.

The state police gave the news with a statement sent this morning.

«In the early hours of 26 August, the Flying Squad intervened near via Piandanna, as the presence of a charred body in a field had been reported. On the spot, in a cliff, the Flying Squad ascertained the presence of remains attributable to a human body, which had probably been set on fire ».

After the intervention and the coroner's examination, the human nature of the remains was confirmed.

«Subsequently, from the investigation activity carried out by the policemen of the mobile team, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor on duty, it emerged that the remains would belong to a man of around 80, who would have been hit with a stick at the end of a quarrel, for reasons of jealousy, by another man (about 48 years old), who would then set fire to the body. During the night, the public prosecutor ordered the detention of the forty-eight-year-old".
