Birth point still closed in Alghero, the committees launch an ultimatum to the ASL

The birthing point of the Civil Hospital of Alghero has been closed since November 2023 and the stop to births and caesarean sections was supposed to be temporary: the time to complete extraordinary interventions to adapt the systems. Now the committees for the defense of public health are launching an ultimatum to the management of the ASL of Sassari, expressing "deep concern and growing discontent for a closure that, although defined as temporary, has lasted for over a year, forcing families to make enormous sacrifices".

It is requested "for the umpteenth time, the reopening of the Birth Point of Alghero and the reactivation of the hospital Pediatrics service within 24 hours. If the response is still late, the committees announce new protests , in order to fight logics that do not correspond to the needs of citizens, and to prevent the impossibility of "being born in Alghero", warn the Spontaneous Committee in defense of health, the Blue Bows Pink Bows Committee, the New Hospital Committee and the Committee united against the closure of the Marino Hospital.
