Voluntary murder. This is the crime hypothesis formulated by the deputy prosecutor Diana Lecca after the autopsy carried out on the body of Antonangelo Lecca, the 56-year-old who disappeared in early January by Barrali and was found lifeless on Sunday in Bau Mannu , also in his village, near of a torrent.

The coroner Roberto Demontis will still need to complete the investigations to clarify the modalities of the crime, but now there seems to be no doubt that the 56-year-old was killed by one or more people, perhaps in a different place from where he was then found his body. Yesterday the magistrate with the men of the Carabinieri investigative unit, formally in charge of the investigation, carried out a first inspection in the area where the body was found. The first of a series scheduled shortly to try to collect the elements that nature may have spared.

The investigation, in fact, could be very difficult given that the lifeless body of the man remained several days exposed to bad weather and water.

The investigation has however formally started and work is being done to reconstruct the life and past of Antonangelo Lecca, so as to understand if he may have had enemies and to reconstruct what may have been the motive for a crime that the investigators - albeit in the strictest confidentiality - they consider heinous.
